A dear little boy
   was born today.
A child for us to cherish
   as he finds his way.

Happiness and joy has filled
   so many hearts.
We are all in awe
   as a new life starts.

He has come to teach us
   as only he can.
As he grows from a tiny boy
   to a wonderful man.

A mum a dad
  grandparents and aunts.
All waiting to learn that
   which without him
   we otherwise can't.

His name has been chosen
   his identity given.
His character will form
  by choices made just by living.

We welcome your beautiful
   innocent soul.
As we take part in the life
   in which you will become whole.

As the future unfolds from this
   very first day.
We look forward to sharing
